Sample Itineraries

The kind of safari you choose will depend on your interests, accommodation preferences, budget, and time of year you chose to travel. Whether you are traveling solo, as a couple, with family with friends, Botswana captures the adventure and true romance of a vintage African safari.

Which type of safari appeals most to you?
Family / Multi-generation: bond with your loved ones while you all make memories to last a lifetime
Honeymoon: soak up the romance of a private sundowner or dinner for two under the stars
Birding: with 12 important birding areas and over 440 birding species, Botswana is a birders paradise
Horseback: for experienced riders, gallop through the wilderness in close proximity to big game
Elephant-back: marvel at your elephant-eye’s view of wildlife in the bush
Photographic: hone your camera skills on a safari with photographic workshops
Fly-in: quickly traverse between remote camps in small, light aircraft – providing exciting aerial views
Mobile tented (guides): relish the continuity of having your “camp” travel with you
Self-drive: with or without a guide, you are behind the wheel of your 4WD as you explore the bush

Sample Itineraries
For the best safari experience, we recommend you visit three or more different regions, with 2-3 nights per location. For variety, combine wet and dry camps in the Okavango, take a mobile tented safari deep into the bush or combine lodge stays and mobile tented safaris.
