The Savute Channel is Flowing, Now is the Time to Send Your Clients

Mother Nature has been busy providing exceptional seasonal rains across southern Africa this year, causing water to weave its way into a normally arid eco-system in Northern Botswana. Water from Angola is pushing water levels in the Okavango Delta to unprecedented levels, and the Savute Channel, is flowing again for the first time in 28 years . This extraordinary flow of fresh water is bringing new life to the entire region. Many experts predict that the floods will mean extraordinary wildlife encounters for the fortunate few travelers lucky enough to bear witness to this momentous natural event. This is an experience of a lifetime for your clients.  Invite them to enjoy the explosion of new colors, sights, and sounds in Savuti, Linyanti, and the Okavango Delta this year.

Tourism for Tomorrow Updates from Botswana Camps

Great Plains Conservation and Wilderness Safaris have entered into a joint venture on Duba Plains Camp, the 30,000 hectare reserve in the northern Okavango, an area renowned for the endless conflict between prides of lions and herds of buffalo. Now under Great Plains Conservation management, the two companies will build on the existing infrastructure and location to take the region to new heights.  Duba Plains will be re-positioned as one of the premier all-around Okavango experiences offering a full complement of Okavango activities from game drives to boating, with new 4x4 vehicles and boats arriving shortly.
