Ta Shebube Polentswa Ready to Welcome First Guests
After the successful opening of its sister property Ta Shebube Rooiputs in July, Ta Shebube Polentswa is nearing completion and ready to welcome its first guests this month. Located in its own private area within the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, this new classic nine-tented desert camp captures the romance of a nostalgic bygone era. The tents, all built on raised wooden platforms and under enormous canvas roofs that also encompass a spacious private veranda and an open air hot water shower, are furnished to reflect the spirit and essence of an authentic tented safari camp. Along with seven classic tents, one desert suite and one family unit, the property also includes a bar, lounge, library, curio shop, plunge pool, boma and bird hide. Rates are fully inclusive, unless otherwise noted.

To celebrate their grand opening, Ta Shebube has launched their attractive Opening Celebration Offer, ‘Stay for 4, Pay for 3’. Valid until December 2013, this offer can be used for both camps.

Footsteps in Africa Launching Mobile Safaris
Footsteps in Africa is pleased to announce that they are now offering mobile safari packages. Combining their central Okavango properties with a traditional mobile safari, these packages will offer your clients the best of both worlds – the luxury of being in the Okavango mixed with the excitement and flexibility offered by a fully-serviced mobile outfit.

Self-sufficient and self-contained, traveling as and when desired, flexible and opportunistic, a mobile safari can be the perfect adjunct to several days in a lodge. These mobile safaris will cover four prime wildlife areas of northern Botswana – the Xaxanaka and Khwai regions of the Moremi Game Reserve, and the Savuti and Chobe riverfront areas of the Chobe National Park. Their private guide and dedicated game-driving vehicle is at your client’s disposal to discover the best of the area while the crew sets up camp, so that by the time they arrive, tents are ready, beds made, the kitchen busy, the drinks cold, the water hot and the campfire flickering in the evening sky. Local conditions, time of year, movements in game and other conditions will determine the areas concentrated on during the safari.
